BIOGRAPHY

Throughout the 1990's Steven P. Smith built up a reputation as a renowned Mural Artist working throughout the UK and Europe.

His company SPS-ILLUSTRATION still produce stunning bespoke Murals both commercially and for private clients, and he has worked with many well know and respected companies such as DeVere, Marriott, Liesure Parcs, Tussauds, The National Army Museum, Pinewood Studios and on major projects for Film, Television and throughout the Leisure Industry.

Recently Steven has returned to his fine art background, devoting much of his time to his passion for Figurative and Portrait Painting.

One of the styles he has experimented with is to work quickly in Oils on canvas from photographs to create charming paintings of animals and pets.

Working preferably from a selection of photographs provided by the client, Steven produces stunning, stylised Portraits using Oil Paint on stretched Canvas.

Whilst Contemporary in style his portraits have a classical look that captures the subject in a special and unique image.

Steven's confident handling of oils and wonderful eye for colour help them retain a traditional quality that I believe will ensure they become family heirloomes to be enjoyed by generations to come and shared as antiques of the future.
